Shoyeido Horin — Horikawa

Shoyeido's Horin line names each scent after a river or street of old Kyoto. Horikawa is the canal that runs north-south through the city centre — a warm, spice-forward sandalwood meant to evoke the neighborhood of the Nishijin textile workshops. Denser than the beginner lines, but still well-mannered; this is where Japanese incense stops being entry-level.
